Delete Your BrainJamz Account and Data

At BrainJamz, we believe you should have full control over your data. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens when you do.

How to delete your account

Option 1: Delete from within the app

  1. Open BrainJamz
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Follow the confirmation prompts

Option 2: Request deletion via email

Send an email to support@brainjamz.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and profile information
  • Your flashcard backups
  • Your study history and streaks
  • Push notification preferences

What is not deleted

  • Flashcard prompts and responses (these are not tied to your account and may be used by other learners. For example, if you create a Spanish flashcard with the prompt "What is your name?" — that content remains available for other users.)
  • Shared audio files used by other users
  • Third-party authentication tokens (managed by Apple/Google)
  • Aggregated and anonymized analytics data

These items cannot be attributed back to you.

Timeframe

Deletion is processed immediately for most data. Some data in backup systems may take up to 30 days to be fully purged. You will be signed out of the app immediately upon deletion.
